Mbali Ngiba’s character on #UmkhokhaTheCurse was apparently axed following a video of the actress criticizing a hotel security guard.

Mbali Ngiba, who plays Zodwa on Umkhokha: The Curse, has said goodbye to the popular Mzansi Magic soap. Zodwa committed suicide in episode 12 of Umkhokha’s second season, which aired Tuesday.

The singer, a former Real Housewives of Durban cast member, revealed her exit to ZiMoja and expressed gratitude to everyone.

“I want to thank everyone for supporting me, producers, characters, and everyone,” he stated. “I want to thank my colleagues and everyone.”

According to a source who talked with the publication, the writers believed Ngiba’s role “was stagnant and there was not much they could do with her character.”

“When writers are unable to develop a character, they either write them off or murder them. Mbali is not a bad actress; she performed well and is also sweet and gentle. But they were stuck and didn’t know what to do with her position,” the person explained.

Although she is a talented actress, the source claims that Ngiba’s viral outburst at the Sandton Skye Hotel in Johannesburg in January of this year resulted in the termination of her contract.

“That was bad. That got her in trouble with Gatsheni (Duma Ndlovu). “He likes respect, and that was the end for her,” said the source.
In a video that appeared on social media at the time, the former Durban Gen actress can be seen furiously pointing her fingers at the guard, beating on the reception counter, and yelling abuses.

“With a f*cken R4,000 income, you believe you are everything. You’re sleeping here because of us. Who do you think you are? A security that does not even make much, and you do not even have matric, ”

Days later, the Ngizwide singer apologized on Instagram for her behavior and blamed it on the drink.

“When we arrived at the hotel, we had no idea we would need a code to leave, and the person we came with had already left, so we were stuck and unable to leave. I tried to persuade the security guard to open for us because of the circumstance we were in. When I attempted to communicate with him, the security guy became hostile and stared at us for an hour. Then I suppose he said something to me, and I lost it and said things I shouldn’t have,” she explained.

“We were getting too hot and couldn’t breathe because there was no air conditioning. So we begged him to at least open for us so we could stand outside while we worked to address the matter. It’s been a while, so I don’t recall exactly, but the brother didn’t talk properly to me.”

Ngiba also apologized for her outburst, stating that she does not look down on others.

“I’d like to apologize to the security officer for stepping on his toes, as well as to people who know me. “Know that I am not one to look down on others,” she stated.

“I have disappointed my fans, I know that you did not expect that from me because you had never seen that side of me.”
