Many South African actors have already embraced their ancestral callings and become full-time sangomas. Several well-known artists and entertainers, like Oratile Mthimkhulu, Shoki Mmola, Bhala Pelo, Boity Thulo, Bongani Masondo, and others, have come forward to admit they are ancestral healers.
It is unclear whether the Ex Imbewu actor would also join the ranks of sangomas, but based on the photo uploaded on X, fans believe he has embraced his calling.
Kaylin Soobramanian’s part on Imbewu was his first, and he was cast because he speaks Zulu fluently.When Imbewu’s director went to Inanda to recruit an Indian lad for the TV play who could speak IsiZulu, he ran across Kaylin’s lifelong pals.
He moved in with Madoda in KwaMashu, Durban, for a month to study acting after meeting the prerequisites. The audition came next, and after impressing everyone, he got a call the next day to say he had been cast.
